Give every AI idea a verdict before you fund it.
Two weeks. Five interviews. Your readiness scored across seven areas, a written verdict on every opportunity we find, and a 90-day plan with your people’s names on it. $5,000, and the report can say “don’t.”
Who it’s for
Owners and executives of companies from about $1M to $100M in revenue who have AI ideas, some budget, and no evidence-based way to choose between them. You’ve probably had three vendor conversations that each recommended the vendor.
What you get
- A private kickoff with the sponsor on day one.
- Up to five recorded interviews: you, operations, finance, your most technical person, and someone who does the work every day.
- An inventory of your systems and the AI tools in use, including the ones nobody sanctioned.
- Readiness scored across seven areas, with an EdgeScore and a stage, every score tied to evidence we can show you.
- A verdict on every opportunity: proceed, run a limited experiment, proceed after prerequisites, use a conventional fix, defer, refer to a specialist, or do not proceed.
- The top three opportunities worked through with directional ROI ranges.
- A 90-day plan with a named owner for each item.
- A written report of 12 to 16 pages and a 60-minute executive readout.
How the two weeks run
| Days | What happens |
|---|---|
| Before day 1 | Order form, invoice, a 20-minute intake, and all five interviews plus the readout booked |
| 1 | 45-minute kickoff: the decision you need to make, the two or three parts of the business that matter |
| 2–4 | Interviews, 45 to 60 minutes each, recorded |
| 5–9 | Scoring, verdicts, the plan, the report |
| 10 | 60-minute readout with your leadership. The report arrives within two hours after the call |
| 14, 45 | A 15-minute follow-up call, then a check-in on your first plan item |
What it costs
$5,000, invoiced upfront. If you choose any EdgeTeam program within 60 days of the readout, the $5,000 credits toward it. Nothing in the report depends on you choosing one; the plan is written for your team to execute without us.
What it is not
It’s a business and technical readiness diagnostic. It isn’t a legal opinion, a privacy impact assessment, a security audit, or a compliance certification, and the report says so on page one. It isn’t a build; nothing gets implemented in the two weeks. Deeper work is available separately: an all-staff survey, ROI models beyond the top three, a drafted AI policy, a leadership prioritization workshop.
Method, not mystery
The seven areas we score: business direction, use-case discipline, workflow fit, people and change capacity, data, technology, and governance. The evidence rules: self-reported claims can’t score above the midpoint; anything higher needs a document, an observation, or data. The verdict list above is the same one we’d apply to our own ideas. A redacted sample report and readout deck are available on request.
Questions people ask on the scoping call
Can you just tell us what to build?
Yes, and also what not to build. Roughly a third of the ideas that come into an assessment leave with “conventional fix” or “defer.”
We’re small. Is $5,000 too much for us?
Under about 15 people, usually yes. Start with a cohort or EdgeCore Pro and come back when there’s more to assess.
What do you need from us?
About 20 minutes of intake, an org chart and a list of your software, five people for an hour each, and one leadership hour for the readout.
